Worship Service with Emily Rock- Living Cultures of the People of the Waters

We welcome guest speaker Emily Rock, Curator of Exhibitions at the Oshkosh Public Museum. Emily Rock will present on the Living Cultures section of the Museum’s long-term “People of the Waters” exhibit, which includes an annual featured contemporary Native American Artist. Currently the exhibit features Jennifer M. Stevens, an Oneida and Oglala Lakota artist who creates Haudenosaunee (Iroquois-Six Nations)-style pottery. This installation and the contemporary Native American artist program remind us that Native Americans persist as a vibrant part of our contemporary society, while also retain their strong cultural traditions.
