Reflections on the Journey Ahead” by Dr. Paul Jeffries.
In May Professor Paul Jeffries retired after a 19-year career at Ripon College and a 45 year career in academia. In this conversation, he will reflect on some of the lessons he has learned over the years and then consider how we might find some strategies for dealing with our current moment in the United States. This is a time when we need to embrace a commitment to wisdom and wise living as the means to challenge the multitude of injustices and crises we are facing both at home and abroad. We will explore a fundamental truth that “retirement” is never really “retiring.” Rather, it is time to manifest the truths and insights we have gleaned over the course of our lives, however long (or short) our journeys have been.
